I was born on September 3, which of course makes me a Virgo. But I dont feel like a true Virgo. I think that they're supposed to be very logical and neat..and thats really not like me at all. Though, I do care alot of how I look and what I eat, some may even consider calling me vain, and I think that thats another Virgo characteristic.

But anyway, my due date was supposedto be around early December/late November, so that would make me a Scorpio Saggitarius cusp. I feel like I have more Scorpio and Saggitarius traits than I do Virgo.

Is it possible that Im more of a Saggitarius/Scorpio than a Virgo?

  1. thats a good question!!!!lol i was born 3 months b4 my due day!!!so either way i wudve been a water sign!!im a scorpio nov. 11!!!i think its destiny...really..because if u werent a preemie n born at your normal time then u wudnt be who u r now!!!

  2. Your sun sign has to do with where the sun was in the sky at the MOMENT OF YOUR BIRTH, not your due date.

You should look into have your chart done.  See where the virgo, sag and scorpio fall and perhaps that will help you make sense of what you are describing

  3. The problem is that you use a Tropical Zodiac which is inaccurate by 23º instead of the accurate sidereal or "Vedic" Zodiac - and then also don't reference any planetary placements, only a single sign.

    But to answer your question...

Astrology (at least Vedic Astrology) originally calculated charts by the time of conception. But that was THOUSANDS of years ago. 2 or 3 thousand years ago people started not knowing the time of conception (hehehe), and thus systems were devised to utilize the time of birth. But let it be known that this is a second rate system - but the best that we currently have available.

Now, the exact moment for the calculation of the chart, in the current birth-based system, is the time of the FIRST BREATH of the newborn. At that time, (projected backward somehow by ancient sages to reflect the time of conception) the child forms the seed of their development. Sun becomes his or her awareness, Moon becomes his or her emotions, etc.

So the time of the first breath is as reliable as we can get with our current methods of astrology - and it doesn't matter if the labor is artificial, natural or cesarian.

It's interesting to note that most wise astrologers state that astrology properly practiced by an expert can be up to 80% accurate. Part of the missing 20% is due to the nature of life itself - it's not set in stone, and our freewill changes things when we decide to use it. But another part of that missing 20% of accuracy is the fact that the moment of conception is more of an astrological influence than the moment of birth - yet we as a species have lost the systems and potentials to practice this type of astrology.
