  1. Good answer from Wiggysan.  the reason Mark S got the thumbs down is MotoGP also includes 125s and 250cc Bikes (2 -Stroke)

he obviously didnt read Wiggysans answer.

  2. MotoGP & WSB are 4 strokes.

  3. ......... and of course, the reason 2 stroke are becoming more and more 'un-fashionable' IS (if you believe in all that malarkey) the issue of promoting a 'GREENer' atmosphere -

The fact that we continue to fly more and more on a daily basis (dispersing fuel left right and centre) - watch the likes of Fat Cat '2 JAGS' (and ALL his mates) swanning around in 50 separate vehicles to attend the same meeting, but the rest of us are expected to jump on a No. 52 - (that's a bus btw not JT's 52) -

Is of course neither here nor there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. A bit of both really.

Most sports bike style bikes are 4 stroke, but there are still some strokers kicking about !

2 stroke : 125 GP , 250 GP , Red Bull Rookies, some AMA support classes. Lots of entry level ACU / Auto 66 classes. There are still lots of MX strokers and a fewsidecar / vintage race's.

The TT racing still holds 250 strokers against 400 4 strokes.

It was only untill 2001 that the whole MotoGP field was 2 strokes, now it is 100 % 4 stroke.

Also, very soon ( in approx 2 years ) the 250 GP bikes will be 600cc 4 strokes, although I hope they run 450cc.

WSB is pure 4 stroke, WSB & WSS, and the main racing in the BSB and JPSB are now all 4 stroke.

    Hope this helps.
