Are most shows and museums closed on Mondays in London?

I'm having trouble finding the answer to this on the web. I know it used to be tradition to close shows and museums on Mondays. Is that still the case?

In a word, no. As regards museums, in many places in, say, France or Italy, the answer to your question would be "yes". But in London....no—It's a weekday like any other.

It certainly doesn't apply to the bigger museums. The British Museum, the V&A and the Science Museum are all open seven days a week.

Obviously it's worth checking the opening times on the museum's website before you go.

If by shows you mean theatres, then no, most of them are open throughout the week - but again, it's worth checking.

not much any more, especially in tourist season ... if there's money to be made they open up and take it
