Are muscle pains (similar in feeling to growing pains) a side effect of starvation?

I've been feeling mild growing pains in the area between my hips and ribs and the muscles of my calf. My mother, who thinks I am anorexic, thinks it's a side effect of starvation. Does that happen? Or am I just growing?

Yes, if someone is anorexic it can cause muscle pains throughout the body.

I don't know how old you are but depending on how old you are it is possible this could be related to growing pains.

I would recommend talking to the school nurse as well to see what they say.
