  1. Mushrooms are wonderfully versatile, but not all mushrooms are good for you - some are poisonous!

If you get them at the local market, they'll be ok, though.

  2. Only the edible kind are good for your health.  They are a complete protien and they contain nutrients.

  3. you can find them in cow fields they make for the best recipees

  4. Outdoor schools teach you not to eat mushrooms in a survival situation even if you know wild mushrooms.  They say that mushrooms don't provide much nutrition and can cause you not to absorb nutrients from other foods.  Other sources say mushrooms are good for you.  I think if they are well cooked that mushrooms can be nutritious.  They will not take away from a healthy meal.

  5. yes, there is some really great research on the impact of mushrooms on the immune system. the body perceives them as possibly toxic, and it stimulates our immunes system - which fights off illnesses we come in contact with before we even know it. Also, really great source of  certain nutrients and micronutrients. Reishi (spelling?) and maitake are both sold in pills because they are so beneficial. I used to sell vitamins and we sold those like crazy everytime a new study would come out...

It goes without saying that i mean EDIBLE non-toxic mushrooms you got from a grocery store, not the field down the road.

  6. Yes mushrooms are very healthy

    And yummy! :)
