Are music videos still relevant?

They aren't exactly all over the television like ten years ago, and even then people were talking about how little they're played. I seem to think the age of the video star is over. Madonna, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, and Britney Spears never would have been half as big without them, but artists seem to be exploding without their videos getting a lot of airplay. So, do music videos still matter?

Well, I personally still love music videos.  I don't watch them on TV anymore, but I'm slightly addicted to YouTube.  I like to have a visual to the song.  I like to see what the artist was picturing in his or her mind when they came up with the song.  I don't think the videos really effect their careers much anymore, but their still a nice accessory!

because music isnt about to be listened

but also to be seen!
