Are muslims allowed to fall in love?

It's just I've heard they're not allowed to date because it would take their mind off God. But surely if you get married and you're in love that will also take your mind off God, unless your marriage is arranged, which would get rid of the whole being in love bit.....

Well muslims cant date or stuff like that ... but muslims can marry woman of their choice .....

yes of course we are "allowed to fall in love" doesn't mean that we are allowed to practice our love before marriage.

Yes they are.

Have you ever heard the saying "Some marry the woman they love, and others learn to love the woman they married." I think its from India.

It means: just because you are not in love with the woman you married does not mean you cannot love her at all.

Even if they weren't allowed to date, which they are since I have dated more than one, that does not mean they are incapable of loving the person they married.
