Hey. Ive taken 5 AP tests, my scores are.

Sophomore year:

World History-5

Junior year:

US History-5

BC Calculus-5

Statistics-5

Chemistry-5

I was just just wondering if its worth paying money to send my scores to colleges with my applications, rather than waiting until the end of the year, after im admitted when it will be free. Im looking at MIT, Duke, Vandy, Florida, and Georgia Tech

  1. don't you send them in AFTER you get accepted anyways?

  2. I'm sorry, but I must really say that I absolutley HATE when people ask questions this way- when they absolutley know their grades are good. It's pretty clear you are just asking this question to show off your AP grades and now your "outstanding GPA" as well. Dude, while your grades are great, I have to say you deserve an F in humility. If you really and honestly wanted help with this question you wouldn't feel the need to pimp out your grades on YahooAnswers and would just ask a college counselor or even a college representative like any normal, HUMBLE person.

  3. If you did well in the classes themselves, it'll be a nice reminder to them of how well you applied the knowledge. But if you did poor in a class, like, say you got a c in chemistry but got a 5 on the test, sending the scores could show the colleges you still know the material but might've just had a bad teacher or something. I'd go ahead and send them in--you'll need lots of luck getting into any of those. Especially Duke. Valedictorian of my school was the only one to get in and he was wait listed.

  4. Definately send them in! It'll look good on the apps! Good luck with the admissions process. :-)

  5. Send them to the one college you're definitely going to for credit the summer before you leave for college.

  6. You have all 5 (congrats!) and you should definitely send your scores in. Even though it costs a lot of money to send your scores to colleges, you can save thousands of dollars because many colleges will exempt you from basic courses because of your excellent scores. Some schools do not accept AP as a form of college credit so you might have to look into each school but if the college does, it can save you A LOT of money.
