Hello,

I've been using my New Balance running CW472wps for both running and walking. I find though that my shins (preff my left shin) gets shin splints very easily when running in these shoes. Should I go for another style?

If it helps to know, my weight is 145 height is 5'8 age 23.

  1. your shoes may be a problem. orthotics would be a good idea.. but then again i find when i use my asics running shoes instead of my orthotics it feels better. but what you want to make sure you do is ice your shins. look on the internet or consult your doctor on how to treat your shins splints..even physio

  2. In my opinion New Balance shoes suck. Get a pair of asics and put a gel insert in the heel. Asics have good arch support and a nice toe spread but they lack good heel cushioning. I swear by asics.
