Are my SAT scores and GPA good enough?

I am looking at applying to the following colleges: Seton Hall, Rutgers, Monmouth, Rowan,and Kean. My GPA is 3.1 and SAT score is 1320 will any of these colleges accept me?

  1. You may be able to get into Seton Hall, Rowan and Monmouth. Your SAT is a bit low for Seton Hall, and really rather low for Monmouth and Rowan, but not so low that you might not get in. Of those, you probably have the best shot at Seton Hall.

    I think you stand a good shot at Kean. Your SATs and GPA fit their averages very well.

    Rutgers is very much a reach school for you. Your SATs are quite low for them. This does not mean that you shouldn't apply! After all, SATs are just one part of your application. Just consider them a reach school, so you make sure you have backups, just in case.

    I feel quite strongly that you need another fit school, like Kean is, and at least one backup. Another fit might be William Patterson, for example. A backup might be Georgian Court U.
