Critical Reading 510

Math 560

Writing 590

Multiple Choice [57] (score range: 20-80)

Essay [9] (score range: 2-12)

Are these scores for the new SAT decent? I am an honor student and I didn't prepare or study whatsoever for this test, because honestly, it's a scam and a load of bullshit :) But are these decent?

  1. The SAT has three sections and three scores, each on a scale of 200 to 800.

    Writing (200-800)

    Math (200-800)

    Critical Reading (200-800)

The average total score is approximately 1,538 points (520 in Math, 510 in Writing, and 508 in Critical Reasoning).

An average score is acceptable for most colleges and universities. However, some of the top schools will expect you to achieve an SAT score of 2,100 of more. A score above 2,100 puts you in the 90th percentile, meaning that you scored better on the test than 90% of test takers.

A perfect score is 2,400 points.  You have less than half that.

  2. Your total is 1660. The average is 1500, so you are above average. It really depends on what schools you want to get into. Some schools don't even look at the SAT anymore and most value your GPA more than your SAT. I would study up a bit and take the SAT one more time. Regardless of how worthless you think the test is, I agree with you, most colleges still value it and in order to get into a school that you know you are capable of doing well in you need a stronger SAT score. Check the average score at schools you want to attend and from that you should get a good idea of what you should do. A college will take your highest score on each section into account so taking it at least one more time with some prep is a good idea. Best of luck!

  3. idk but i want to see people's answers/

  4. it all depends on where you want to go to college. check the school(s) website(s) for the info on the last admissions group.

  5. You have 1660, which is slightly above average and more than half of what you could have received (anywhere from a 600 to 2400).

It's not fantastic but its alright and most of the people I know have received similar scores. If it its below the average score for the school you want to go to, you may not get in. I'd suggest retaking it in October.

  6. okay, so you got 1660

this isn't bad but it definitely isn't a score for an honor student

    aim 2000!

  7. if u wanna go 2 an ivy league then i would say no, cuz the max u can get on them r 800. BUT if u wanna go 2 a university or junior college then their ok

  8. Your scores is okay, above average, and good enough for a state school or weak privates.

I totally agree with you though.  Collegeboard is comprised of a bunch of greedy old b******s.
