  1. No. Braces do not stain teeth. If they did, orthodontists wouldn't be using them! When your braces come off, the orthos clean up the excess glue with their cleaning instruments. My braces were taken off a month ago, and they're awesomely white!

  2. The braces themselves will not stain, its the plaque you miss that will cause the problem.  Just make sure to Brush and floss as best as you can and when your braces are removed go in for a good cleaning.  Also, If you have a yellow hue after the braces are removed you may want to look into whitening them.

Keep your teeth as clean as possible to avoid Demineralization. Which is soft spots in the enamel (white spots on the teeth) caused by plaque being left around the brackets.

Get a Waterpik to help keep your teeth clean in between, and an Electric brush works best.

  3. Maybe, but if you are lucky and can cut back on pop quickly and brush more often, you might not get stained. Just be careful.
