i jus finished my junior year with a 93 average, and my cumulative average i think is so far around 90. I took the SAT and did OK with a 1340. I also took the ACT plus writin and even thou i dont kno my score yet, i feel like i did better on it. If i retake the SAT and at least improve by more than 200 pts, would my chance of gettin in be good?

  1. the essay does affect your writing score ... it is 30% of it and the multiple choice for the writing is 70%

  2. i think if you take the SAT there is always a writing. So it affects your score.

Boston U is one of the places I'm looking into. This is what you need to get if you want to get in:

    GPA 3.6

    ACT 27-31

    SAT 1800+

    Top 10% of the Class

Subject Tests are required (2 I think)

    4 year of English

    2-4 years of a Language

    3-4 years of History

    3-4 years of Math

    3-4 years of Science

Only AP scores of 4/5 will give credit

These are averages. And you can take either the SAT or ACT. Some people are just better at one of the tests, so you might be an ACT person like me. But I'd retake the SAT for safety.

  3. is th 1340 math+ reading, or is it math+reading+writing. reply to this by adding detaisl to your questiion...

then no, your cahnces arnt good at all.
