I have two chinchillas. one is quite large and about 3-4 years old. the other one is about 4 months old and very small. Recently, for several times in several days, I had to fill a container of Timothy hay. The next morning, since the last time I added more hay, the container was empty. i also have a seperate container for pellets. yesterday, i had about a quarter of the container filled with pellets but this morning, it was empty. I have two chinchillas. one is quite large and about 3-4 years old. the other one is about 4 months old and very small. I know that chinchillas will not eat when they're full, but is it normal for them to eat sooo much!?

  1. try Block Food i give it to my chinchillas because they'll do the same thing well you give how much is recommended and that is as much as they need for a day so you know that they had enough food for one day.

  2. Yes, I have two males who are about 6 years old and they eat just as much and your chinchillas do. Just make sure they're drinking, urinating, and pooping as normal and everything should be fine! Plus, your 4 month old is a growing chinchilla and needs all the nutrition he can get.

  3. i think they will eat alot, as long as there pooping and peeing fine its all good

i wish u luck with ur chins
