Question:

Are my dreams trying to tell me something?

Last month my boyfriend of two years dumped me. While we were together, I never really had dreams about him. I did however, have a couple dreams about a guy friend of mine. We weren't particularly close but, I had a few dreams where he would kiss me and try to, "Take me away from everything". I disregarded these dreams as my mind wanting something it couldn't have but, a few weeks after the breakup I've been dreaming about him more and more and the dreams are becoming more frequent and ummmm..."intense". Me and "dreamboy" have also become closer friends and have been hanging out and talking on the phone almost every night. But, he is completely infatuated with this girl that broke his heart 4 years ago. Or so I think, he does seem to flirt with me a bit. Anyway, are my dreams trying to tell me to date him? What should I do?!

  1. Dreams don't tell you anything.  Especially "wet" dreams.  But he sounds like a reasonable choice for a boyfriend.  But then again, he would just be your rebound guy.  He being your friend and all, you probably shouldn't date him just yet.  You would probably just end up breaking his heart the same as that other girl.  Why don't you try finding some other guy that you have no intention of being serious with as a rebound guy and see if your friend acts jealous?

  2. You love this guy much more than you think ; that what your dreaming is telling you ; and about the dating ; it will not work for a very long    time ; if it work at all

  3. Dreams are simply a reflection of you and your life.  It is unconscious  processing information and dreams are not bound by societal norms.   There is always a sexual aspect to any relationship.  There is no such thing as a purely Platonic relationship.   So these dreams are simply reflecting what you feel about this guy whether you consciously acknowledge it or not.   It is likely he is feeling something about you from the way you describe the way the relationship has recently changed.  The next move is up to  you and this is entirely your decision.  Let me know if this helped.

  4. I think that your dreams are not necessarily telling you to date him, but you should (while awake lol) consider if you have feelings for him.  Sometimes our dreams compensate for any emotions we are lacking (ex. you might go to bed sad and have a happy dream or v.v.)  Perhaps your subconscious, recognizing your lack of a boyfriend, chose to manifest one in your dreams to balance you out.  As for why you chose this particular "dreamboy": in your eyes, he might either differ or relate to your recent boyfriend (depending on whether you really miss your boyfriend or don't want him back).  I hope that makes some sense.

As for what course of action you should take:

      1. Don't listen to just your dreams, they're too complex to give good advice.

      2. Consider this dreamboy and all possibilities of dating him.  If you were to be together, would it just be a rebound, or are you seriously interested in him? (BTW, the best way to tell is time).

      3. In all doubt, talk to dreamboy.  If he's not willing to date you, then there's an easy answer.

I hope this helps and good luck.

  5. Yup, your dreams are trying to tell you something. You already know what it is  so don't waste anymore time.  Flirt a little more and see where it takes you.

  6. Your dream is telling you that deep inside you really like the guy and he's worth crushing on, i think you should go for it. :)
