Are my eyes normal?

Question

I can blur my vision whenever I want to. Everything just goes out of focus, and I can determine how out of focus I want my vision. I can also make close objects (up to about arm's length) seem double, my 2 different eyes point of view I guess. When I tried to explain it to my eye doctor he had no idea what I was talking about.

I have had astigmatism since about october, but before that I've always had 20/20 vision.

my eyes were the same way. and i now have astigmatism too.

You are just moving your eye muscles around. It is not that big of a deal.

you say you cant cross your eyes but thats exactly what youre doing. you're slowly crossing your eyes. take a picture of yourself while you're doing it and you'll see whats happening.

this sounds exactly like me nd when i tel the optition they just tell me my vision is perfect... no one understands

everyone can do that! its just crossing your eyes slowly and a tiny bit.

Sounds pretty normal, I can do that at will...you can make it even more impressive if you apply pressure to the side of the eyeballs, but it's certainly nothing to worry about... ;)

Yes, your eyes are normal. Anyone who has the muscle control to cross their eyes can do this. If you slightly cross your eyes, your vision gets blurry. If you cross them more, your vision doubles. If you really want to do something unusual, try to get your eyes to point away from one another...that would be crazy.

Additional: I would be willing to bet pretty heavily that you CAN cross your eyes, especially given what you're describing. Hold a finger out at arms length and look at your fingertip. Bring your arm in and touch your nose, watching your fingertip the whole time. In order to focus on an object that closely, your eyes have to cross. If you're still not sure, have a friend take a picture of you while you're doing this. You'll look pretty goofy, but your eyes will be crossed.
