Question:

Are my glasses easily fixable by a glasses retailer (like Lensecrafters)?

The piece that holds the lens in place broke and I was curious to see how easy it would be for a glasses place to fix. The lenses essentially don't have metal or plastic that wraps around the bottom of the lenses, instead they are held in with what looks to be thick fishing wire. I've never had glasses that had anything but a metal or plastic surrounding the lenses, so I've got no experience with it.

Here's what they look like: http://www.alldesignerglasses.com/images_catalog/frames_big/52738.jpg

Thanks in advance for the help.

  1. i tink that they could fix

  2. Yes they can. It is real easy to fix.

EDIT: If they do charge you it would be very little. They want your business next time your ready for glasses.

  3. they might be able to fix it, and probably can -- the real issue is if it'll be worth it. sometimes repairs are about as costly as just getting a new pair, so the best thing you can do is going in and seeing what kind of deal they can cut you. good luck. (:
