I picked upi y new glasses with the new subscription. Well when I look in the distance I can see great but when I look at the floor, it lies to me lol. My glasses says things about where the floor is or if there is a step or if it is curve and it really isnt, il take my glasses off and look at the floor and compare and it does not match together. WTF????? Also my eyes hurt from them. And I cannot play any videogames with these because I cant focus with them and when I try I get lots of pain. Almost every floor is a hill sortof. Nothing is flat and I think Im going insane some because of it. What do I do?

  1. New glasses always take some getting used to - especially if your prescription has changed quite a bit. If you are young that may well be the case. Don't panic - stick with them - but if things haven't improved in a couple of weeks go back to your optician and explain what is happening. They may have got your prescription wrong but it is probably just that you need to adjust to them. Good luck.

  2. The prescription *could* be off, but if your glasses are of any significant strength, it's more probable they simply need adjusting to alter how they sit on your face.

Looking at that bowed "wrong" floor, tilt your glasses' top edge away from you by raising the sides off the ears while keeping the frame on your nose.  See if it makes things better or worse.  If worse, hold the sides slight *wide* of your ears, so you can angle the top of the frame *in* by dropping them.

If that makes any difference, it's likely to be an adjustment problem, but things like the bowing of the frame (the degree of "wrap" to the front) can make juat as much difference to the effect as the "angling"

(I don't recommend you experimenting with that on your own...)

You need to revisit whoever made the glasses...  it could take less than five minutes to fix this, and if it doesn't you need to register the problem and request a re-check anyway.
