Ok The main character is called Adele Symonds She is a beautiful stunning girl but is afraid to show it, She's very shy and dresses very old fashioned and doesn't like to flaunt her good looks.

The most popular in the school is called Venlo (pronounced Ven-low) Cherry, Shes all about big bouncy blonde curls prada handbags and putting down other girls.

Her S****y follower is Monique Davis, A very very obnoxious brunette who knows being popular hating life is better than not being popular, Her social life is VERY important to her

Venlo's other follower Amber Johnson A very very b!tchy auburn haired girl who knows how to ruin a girls day, week, term, semester, year or high school experience.

I need to think of a name for Adeles best friend who is a quirky but wise girl who is always right.

Are these names suitable for their characters? =) Thanks Chelsey

  1. I'm not a fan of Adele. It's a little too old-fasioned, and I'm not sure it suits her. What I do is look up the meanings of different names to find one that's right for each character. For example (for the main character):

    Alanna~ 'beautiful; dear child'

    Rosaline~ 'pretty rose'

    Callie~ 'most beautiful'

    Ella~ 'beautiful fairy'

    Naomi~ 'agreeable; beautiful'

    Tabitha~ 'graceful beauty; gazelle'

    Lily~ 'lily flower; pure'

    Jada~ 'goodness'

    Willow~ 'slender; graceful'

Venlo Cherry is perfect! It's so creative and fits the character perfectly! Monique Davis works prefectly, too, as does Amber Johnson.

For the main character's friend, what about:

    Quinn~ 'wise'

    Cassidy~ 'clever'

    Sage~ 'wise; an herb'

    Kendra~ 'knowledge'

    Sonja/Sonya~ 'wisdom'

    Jada~ 'wise'

    Shannon~ 'little wise one'

    Monica~ 'advisor'

    Sophia~ 'wise'

Hope this helps and good luck with your book!

  2. You're the writer- you're the only one who can decide something like that. If they feel right to you, then they're right.
