Question:

Are my new wooden stairs going to be ruined by contstant rainfall?

I had new pressure-treated wood stairs put on (sorry--don't know what kind of wood). Anyway, the stairs were finished being built 3 weeks ago. Since then it has rained every single day since. I am praying that my stairs aren't going to get damaged because I haven't stained and water-sealed them yet.

I think the weather says it won't rain on Wednesday or Thursday. So I will paint the stairs at that time.

Help---Am I panicking for no reason or good reason?

  1. is it a porch? if it is,well not such good idea. i have a backyard wooden porch and after 2 years we found rabbits, rats, and lots of bugs eating at the wood. but i think the situation that your talking about isn't a problem... if it is then you should let the people that built it know :)

  2. they should be fine, just make sure they are completely dry before you paint them

the same thing appened to our pool deck
