Are my old French Francs still worth anything?

I might keep a few bills as collectibles. The rest of the bills, can I change them to Euros? Would I go to a bank in France to do that? Do you know what rate I can get?

  1. Sell them on ebay. Because the euro is so much more and you'll have to pay for the conversion its prob better to sell it yourself.

  2. You may have already missed the deadlines for exchanging some banknotes. For those which can still be redeemed one can use registered mail to do so. Please refer to this webpage: http://www.banque-france.fr/gb/instit/bi...

  3. the deadline passed. I had the same problem,, i found 100 dollars worth of coins and could not exchange them anymore.

  4. no, they are not worth anything

  5. they're worth as much as my pen collection- nothing... certainly not a Queen's ransom! =P

  6. You missed the deadline for exchange.  Francs are pretty worthless because so many people still have lots, i.e. they are not rare.  I probably have a few hundred francs myself.
