  1. Bruce is right.  If it has a price on it you have to make up for any increase in postage rates. If not, just drop it in the mail box.

  2. Stamps don't 'work' or 'not work', and they aren't defective unless they're miscut from the printing company, and that you would see at the time you bought them and get them exchanged.

If you have unused stamps with a face value less than the current rate, you buy a stamp equal to the price difference to go with them.

  3. old stamps are still valid, they never "expire"

yes get 1cent stamps to make up the difference.

if you aren't sure exactly how much you're old stamps value holds (they've changed a few times over the past couple years) bring them to the PO, they'll tell you the value.

get "forever" stamps, if (and it will) the postage rate goes up, the forever stamp never loses value. so say stamps go to 75cents, the forever stamp will still work with no additional stamps needed.

  4. Not at all just add a 1 cent stamp to it or whatever amount it may need

  5. If it says "forever stamp" on it, it is still good.  If it has a price on it, you have to add a penny stamp.
