Are my received and sent emails saved on my computer? Is it possible to find them on the HD?

I am using my work computer to check my personal emails, I send emails as well. Is there any way that my boss could check and read my emails?

if you use Outlook, yes. make sure all is deleted and recycle bin is cleared.

if you use yahoo or hotmail or gmail or anything of that nature (web based) you're fine, just make sure you clear the history in your browser.

Most businesses use mail servers to handle their emails so all are kept on the server. And yes they can check and probably do check employee mail. Better check to see what your company policy is concerning personal use of company computers.

If it's online mail (like Yahoo) then no. If it comes through a mail client like Outlook, then probably, if your boss has administrative rights to the whole computer.
