Are my two dogs fighting or playing?

i have just got a 10 week old lurcher from a friend of my mams adn just then they where in the garden and they where either playing or fighting. they where chasing each other around the garden and jumping on each other, they were also growling a bit and biting, but no so hard that they could hurt each other. they are both girls so they my older dog might be a bit protective. but she was ok with the new dog coming into the house, she seemed a bit curious and keeps following her everywhere. are they friends or enemies?

If the tails were raised, no hair on the back of the neck was up and you did not hear that they were inflicting pain on each other by ways of a lot of cries and yelps, they were playing.

but if they raise their side of their mo9uth to show teeth thats not a good sign

hair sticking up their angry

if ones following the other sometimes that not a good sign either

a while back my dog was following my other dog & she attcked her

but they could be playing

just make sure that when you feed them you feed them seperatley

& if you wanna give them bones keep them away from each other

sounds like play behavior to me- if your older dog wanted to- she could easily hurt the younger pup

they are playing.

growling is part of the game as well.

still, you should look after them in the beginning until they get used to each other. if they do fight it will only create tension and you dont want that...

They're just playing, my two female Labs are the same.

My older one would follow the new puppy everywhere and nudge her to wake her up whenever she went to sleep.

Don't worry they sound like friends, if they're like my two, they'll soon be inseparable.

they where probaly playing because if they where scared of each other there ears would flatten,  and u probaly would notice the differance

i think they are playing but if not waging there tail or if they have that look like they want to kill in there eye. also the older dog might be showing her dominace

There playing i have two dogs and they play but sometime's i think there fighting i but dont worry just slap them and say naughty or something like that. My plesure to help !!
