Are my wisdom teeth coming in?

its only on the right side in the back of my mouth but it feels better to bite on things and have pressure on it, it's giving me a slight headache too. i'm 17 and my dentist said 18 is usually normal, could my wisdom teeth be coming in if i am feeling this pain? it started a few hours ago.

  1. yes it is very normal for jaw pain when you have wisdom teeth coming in. You have jaw pain because the wisdom teeth they have a hard time fitting in your mouth.


  2. I would say yes, it is pressure from your wisdom teeth. It may subside and then return. The dentist will probably want to do a panoramic xray (an xray that goes around your head to check their placement) soon to check them out.

  4. Yes they are more than likely coming in.  Mine came in when I was fourteen.  Get an x-ray.  You will probably have to have them pulled eventually.  They will shift your other teeth if you don't.  It is a painful affair, so make sure you get pain killers.
