Cariló is located in the province of Buenos Aires, by the Atlantic Ocean, southeast of Buenos Aires city, in Argentina. Cariló is considered to be one of the most exclusive sea coast resorts, features forests, dunes and sea coast.

95% of Argentinean people are white, mainly descendants of Italian and Spanish. With the massive European immigration, the mestizo - cross of white and native- decreased being currently only 4.5% of Argentinean population. Pure native population -mapuches, collas, tobas, matacos y chiriguanos- represent 0.5% of the inhabitants, so it would appear that not very many of the Mapuches are actually still there. Cariló is a mapuche word that means "green dune" and is faithful to the spirit of the place which is covered by trees and plants and where the architecture tries to give a charming touch to this natural magic place.

Since all Argentines come from such diverse backgrounds, an Argentine identity per se is difficult to pinpoint. I would say it's safe to call them all Argentines, Argentineans or perhaps Carlitos, but I could be very much mistaken about that. Information on that topic seems to be scarce and since I do not speak Castellian Spanish, I won't know unless you tell me because I bet that you actually do know! ☺

Carilo appears to be cater to extremely wealthy, high-end visitors and it seems to be immaculate and very beautifully maintained, especially since it was created as a resort area for visitors to Carilo to stay while vacationing in that particular area of Buenos Aires. If what you read about Argentina is true, an American dollar can go a long way in some areas.

i'll say its carlitos...mapuche natives live far, carlitos are fiercely protective of their area, and the battle of evermore was the one mapuche lost...so they dont wanna come near and be made fun of...

I honestly don't know the answer, i think there just regular ppl like were Americans or ppl are Mexican, Italian, French, ect....

Sorry i am just an old southern gal and never heard of this native.. gee i must be a southern Redneck..  Never heard of a Mapuche natives. .... unless  i have a redneck family that lived in the country or in the back woods of Carilo.. Ummm he might be a native somewhere.. off an old family tree but i havent found no body from there in my old ancestor tree.
