Are navigational systems easy to install?

I want to get a Garmin Nuvi navigational system but want to know if I can install it myself or if it's best to take it to a car shop to have it installed. Thanks!

There is nothing to install on the Nuvi, the supplied suction cup mount goes on the windshield (in a suitable location) The power comes from the accessory outlet (cigarette lighter). All this takes at most 30 seconds.

They just plug in to your power port or cigarette lighter.
