Are neon wheel lights illegal?

I just bought these green lights that fit over my tire valves and are motion/light sensitive so they only turn on at night when the care moves. Is this illegal in the state of Oregon? I really want to put them on, and if they are illegal, has anyone been caught with them or is it one of those things cops don't really care about? I doubt anyone here knows off the top of their head but I've done research and cant find a thing, can anyone PLEASE help me?

  1. I think they are. They're definitely tasteless ( in my irrelevant opinion)

Neon Lights of any type, win. washer lights, valve stem lights are not legal for use on Oregon hwys.

  3. all   depends  on  what  state  your  in   most  are alound  if your  sitting  still   and  not  driving  down the  road,   some states  ther ok   as long  as they  ar not  emergecy  colors  like  red,  blue  have  to  check  with your  state  police  because  state inspection  laws  and  vehcial code that  the  state  police  go  by  sometimes   differ

  4. Head to the forums section at www.streetglow.com.  Best place I know to find info on legal issues regarding neon.  For the most part, they are only illegal if they are on while the car is moving.  You can have them on when parked.  How anal the cops are in your town about that sort of thing, I dunno.  They aren't too picky about wheel neons here in colorado.

  5. If they aren't ,they should be.

  6. they are not legal here in pa.

  7. They are probably illegal just about everywhere.  When you buy things like these, the package usually says something like, "for off road use only", or "for show use only".
