Can I put an ad I saw on a newspaper on the Internet? It isn't mine but it is so funny!

  1. Yes they are.

    Create your own ad, instead of stealing somebody elses.


  2. Technically they are the ownership of either the newspaper, agency, or advertiser.

    However, if you are putting it on your site so peole can see it and enjoy it they aren't going to harras you. If it was put on a site that's in bad taste I'm sure they would tell you to remove it.

    EX:

    I doubt Hebrew Hot Dogs would want and ad of theirs placed on a website dedicated to saying the Holocaust wasn't real.

    I seriously doubt anyone outside of a few people will even see the ad. I'd feel like there isn't going to be ANY problem and to go ahead and do it.

    Worse case they would send you a letter or email asking you to remove it.
