  1. Nuclear force is more powerful, about 100 times more powerful, than the electromagnetic repulsion of protons but it  operates over a very short distance


  2. The question should be:

    "Are nuclear forces more or less powerful than magnetism?"

    The "electro" is just giving the source of the magnetism and is not important to the question.

    I believe that nuclear forces are much stronger.

  3. Nuclear forces are stronger than Electromagnetism

    Generally speaking it goes in order from weakest to strongest physics forces:

    1) Gravitational forces/fields

    2)Electric fields (electricity is the product of polar attraction or repulsion therefore: electro magnetism in an electric field

    3) Weak nuclear forces

    4) Strong nuclear forces (only in the nuclei)
