I keep having thoughts that I can't control. I want them to go away, because I don't want them to come true.

Is this anxiety?

  1. sure its part, just gotta try and meditate some or find an activity to quiet the mind.  This takes work but youll eventually get better.

  2. hi i have exactly the same your right you cant control them and they do become obsessive u cant help it when this happens do something you enjoy or even go for a walk the fresh air does me so much good

  3. Probably.  I have mild anxiety and there are thoughts that i cannot control sometimes! It's very aggravating.

  4. yep, i think its more anxiety than OCD. I have them too, they go away and come back. I only get them when im anxious. You can try working out to get rid of the anxiety that's the only thing that i noticed really helps besides medication. But if that doesnt work you should get some help you totally don't have to live with those thoughts. They are not true so don't worry.

  5. They may be part of anxiety and they are called 'intrusive' thoughts - if you can't take your mind off of them, they are obsessive as well.  There are medicines available that treat obsessive thoughts that psychiatrists prescribe.  The main thing you have to accept is that you're not going crazy, but you need to find a good psychiatrist to treat you.

  6. yes.

  7. It could be. In today's demanding world we often fit to much in one day.

I struggle with the same thing at times and I found that with a little talk therapy (no shame in getting some help) and simplifying my life, I became less stressed and in turn less obsessed or wrapped up in things that really didn't matter that much.

Often, a person is struggling with something emotionally that they aren't dealing with so they start to obsess or concentrate on other things.

  8. They can be. Do you have alot on your mind? Maybe try to keep yourself busy with other tasks.

  9. They could be related.

Please take this into consideration. It worked for me, although I am not you.

I had overwhelming anxiety. It turned out to be my use of Splenda. Yup Splenda. How could something that taste so good, be so bad?

I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is. And it is in a lot of stuff. Sadly, the package doesn't have to say Splenda or diet to have sucralose in it. You have to read labels. So, you might be using it and don't even know it!

Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression, mood swings, insomnia, gastrointestinal issues and more.

Go ahead, google: anxiety splenda or anxiety sucralose or insomnia splenda or insomnia sucralose

The slogan, "Made from sugar..." is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is an organochloride (chlorocarbon). Organochlorides are typically poisons.

carbon monoxide - made from oxygen so its like a breath of fresh air

  10. Yes. Having obsessive thoughts that are making you anxious just to think about, is a sign of anxiety.
