Are old national geopgraphic magazines valuable?

i have issues dating from 1967-1987, some volumes are in 6 month issue holders. otherwise, i'll just recycle them-oh, but, the photography is JUST too beautiful to pitch!!

  1. Some people will pay for particular issues of "National Geographic," or for entire sets if they are from the earliest years of the magazine and are great condition.

    Sadly, there isn't much of a market for old copies in general of the magazine at this time.

    But things can always change! I know how you feel about just tossing them out. Why don't you donate them to a place like "Goodwill" or "The Salvation Army?" Libraries usually have an over-abundance of them.

    It's a great magazine so I hope you find a home for them.

    P.S. A agree that the photographs are outstanding. My grandfather's brother was a photographer for "National Geographic" and I've always taken great pride in that.

    Why not try ebay to see if they pick up any interest?

    There's always SOMEONE looking for stuff like that.
