  1. May be this site can help you

  2. I agree with what others have said on here. Some schools are legitimate and some are more focused on making money for the university. You should make sure that any college you are considering is properly accredited. The other mistake I think people make too often is to attend the first school they see that has a program they are interested in. It's important to contact a number of schools to find the best fit for you. The beauty of attending school online is that you are not limited by geography so you cna choose from many options. This site has some information on some other colleges for you to consider for a computer networking degree:

  3. Some of them are real and some of them are scams.  If you plan to attend one, check out it's accreditation before giving them any more.  Accreditation means their courses have been reviewed, and they are qualified to offer the degree they are offering.  It's much more likely to be accepted by an employer if it's accredited.  And not all accrediting agencies are real either - so when you find which agency accredited it, look it up on the US Dept of Education website to make sure they recognize that agency.

  4. This is a gray area but I will do my best. It depends on what you are studying, how respected the college is and if its accredited. Some companies accept degrees from University of Phoenix like McDonalds, but many other companies don't. There is also a lot of controversy with UoP so I would avoid that.

Now other colleges like Grand Canyon University do offer legitimate and accredited degrees online because their campus majors and degrees are already accredited. So your best bet would be to pick a college that has a good campus presence as well as a good online presence. That means they offer campus classes and online classes.

You have to research each college and their online majors. Wikipedia is a good reference point, so is google, etc. Read up as much as you can find about the college.
