It probably didnt offend to many surfers out there because two surfing legends (Kelly Slater and Rob Machado) played voices in the movie.

Im a surfer and i wasnt offended. and most of the guys i go surfing with personally like the movie.

Who cares!!! Sometimes arms are short. When I go surfing not all guys have the short arms! Anyways a lot of people who have long arms wish that the y could surf like the short armed surfers!

I honestly never thought of the movie as a way to offend surfers. On the other hand I feel like the movie has raised a lot of hype about surfing especially to the younger generations, they see it and think '' I wanna do that!''.

I watched the movie and it brought me to realize how fun,dangerous, and a serious sport surfing is.

And on another note...WHATS WRONG WITH PENGUINS!?!

hey you are the best!!! i love to see people get there underware in a bunch over stuff like this. ease up it was a kids movie, if you are so offended what kind of animal should us real surfers be? since  you know what a real surfer looks like what about  a lion? is that good and macho enough for you?the movie rocked i love it my son loves it . sorry you feel like you do.

Please!  That's whats wrong today.  Everybody expending all kinds of energy on being offended about trivial things.  You should be flattered that someone took the time to represent 'you' at all.  Do you think that Emeril Lagasse was offended by the movie Ratatouille?  Don't take stuff so seriously and  you might live longer.

I surf just about everyday and the penguin thing doesn't bother me at all. I actually think it is a cute movie.

It's nothing personal it was meant for children. They wanted to show kids you can be whatever you want  even if you don't seem to fit the " mold " don't worry about  it , at least not all look like penguins but maybe some do I don't know LOL
