Everybody can claim they were the first to reach the peak of Mt. Everest.  But long before, lots of ASEAN climbers have already been there so, be careful to trumpet in all four corners of the world about the "FIRST" to reached that peak.  A factual comparative evidence against other claim should be established to justify the veracity  that indeed, they were the first to reached the peak of Mt. Everest.

Nepal is south east  Asian country. it is the proud member of SAARC. south Asian association of regional corporation. the official record shows the Japanese women Junko Tabei the first women to reach the top of Everest. the first south east Asian women to scale the Everest is pasang lahmu Sherpa of Nepal.

May 16, 1975 Japanese Junko Tabei became 1st woman to reach Mt Everest's summit.



Her famous quote after the conquest was: " I can't understand why men make all this fuss about Everest — it's only a mountain."

Bachendri Pal was the first Indian woman on top of Mt Everest.

At the age of 19, Dicky Dolma was at the time the youngest woman climber of Mt.Everest [May 10, 1993 ] with the Indo-Nepali expedition led by Bachendri Pal.  She comes from Palchan village, a few miles above the tourist resort town of Manali in the mountainous state of Himachal Pradesh in India.
