  1. Not really -- only to the extent that thinner penetrates slightly below the surface and to the extent that the silicate, aluminate, and ferrite molecules dissolve into the solvent (which is a very low amount).  This may slightly weaken the surface strength, but nothing more.

    It's not like the thinner 'attacks' the cement bonds.

    If they got into the mix, they might interfere with the cure.
