Are paper plates recycable??

Question

it doesn't say anything on the plate, and idk about the package cuz i threw that out. Its not like.. paper, it feels like cardboard . idk it might be paper that has a rough surface.

and should i recycle it if it still has a little food on it?

Most paper plates will recycle just fine, but you should try to scrape off whatever food products are on it that you can.  Alternatively, you can also put them in your compost pile/bin - it will just take a bit longer to dissolve away.

If you do not want to bother cleaning them, you can always put them in the trash.  They will decompose in the landfill as well.
