Are parakeets "dirty" animals?

I was talking to my friends and I said I was considering getting a parakeet and they were all like, "Oh my gosh! They are so dirty. Their p**p always winds up on the floor and make a big mess.

Is this true? Or how true is it?

no they are actully clean but every week clean their cage it isnt hard so dont worry they are clean i have a parakeet.
