  1. Parents are allowed to make their minor kids do anything, otherwise there goes the internet for them.  At least that's how it would be if my child wouldn't show me their emails.

  2. My kids tried to tell me I couldn't even ask who they e-mailed. After a week of no computer, they changed their mind. My house, my rules, especially when it is my computer.

  3. Sort of. An 11 year old can refuse to do it.... but that may lead to some other consequences.

  4. Parents are aloud to make there children do anything.

  5. Number 1 rule about kids:

My house, my rules. Don't like it, tough. Grow up, then move out.

  6. I would simply use a key stroke recorder and read them myself.

You are under the deluded idea that an 11 year old has rights.

  7. You don't need a legal document to establish the fact that parents have the ability to monitor and track their minor children's internet/email usage.  Simple common sense dictates that a parent has the duty to protect their children from potentially dangerous interactions, whether that is in person or over the internet.  If someone feels that their children's right to privacy overrides their responsibility to protect the child, then something is wrong with the parent.

  8. I am not sending any email to your other address, which was dumb of you to post in the first place.  If your parents have a brain, you will not be allowed to be on any computer until you understand the phrase "authority".

  9. Yes they are.  Sorry, but it's their house and more than likely their computer.  Since you are under 18, you are pretty much living under your parents rules until then.  Enjoy it.  Is there something you don't want your parents to read? If so, maybe you should reconsider doing what you are trying to hide.

  10. install a key logger in ur kid's pc and get the password and read on ur own without making any noise.
