Are passion vines deciduous?

Meaning do they go dormant in the winter or do their leaves remain on the vine? If they go dormant, are you supposed to trim them back to the ground?

  1. Mine were evergreen so remained all winter. Re growth in winter - here in NW UK, if it is mild, then growth is slow.

Because mine were prolific in growth and tended to "take over" I cut them back severely at the end of the season.

I hope this helps. Good luck. h

  2. I guess it depends on where you are. To my understanding most passiflora are tropical evergreens, however some are stated to have root systems that will withstand 10 degrees.
