  1. No.  Different breeds have different sets of requirements.  They all have their own challenges and quirks.....some dogs just have more challenges than others!

Mixed breeds can very easily bring along all the challenges and quirks from more than one breed!  I have met mixes of high-energy breeds (like a Border Collie/Jack Russel mix) that seemed to have the combined energy of both breeds!  Every dog is different.

  2. nope, more than likely they are easier, but it really just depends on the individual dog.

  3. No, why would that make a difference?  Each individual dog brings it's own set of challenges, regardless of breed(s)

  4. No, in fact it's the opposite.

When you have a well bred purebred dog, you know what to expect from it's temperament and can therefore use the most effective training methods for the breed.

Mixed breeds are totally unpredictable.  You cannot apply the temperament standards of any of the breeds in their mix - They're like a box of Chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.

  5. Nope. It all depends on the dog. It was harder to train my mix then it was to train my purebred. But there are plenty of people out there that have had the opposite problem. It just all depends on your dog and the training methods you use.

  6. well it depends on the mixed breeds, some breeds are easily trained and some need a bit more work.  if you have a mix with more of the difficult breeds to train then it might be tough but if you have a mixed breed that has the easier trained breeds in it then you might have a better time training.  Purebred dogs have their own natures and temperments too.  the dachshund is very stubborn and hard to train but the aussie is one of the easiest trained dogs out their and they both are purbred pedigree dogs.
