  1. Your illustration shows them eating algae as well as fish, so I'd go with omnivores.

Actually, I see it only shows them eating algae and krill.  Still, krill is an animal, and algae is not, so omnivore is the answer.  However, we all know that penguins also eat fish.

  2. They live in frozen arctic where plants cant be found. They live on fish and other sea creatures. So carnivores.

  3. That diagram is very very simple and slightly incorrect.  Penguins are carnivores.  They eat fish, squid, krill and other small sea life, they would of course consume any algae or phytoplankton that might be mixed in with the krill.  They also eat eggs, yes some of their own species.  Penguins sometimes destroy eggs of other penguins and shore birds.

The penguins are not gonna win any awards for being a nice animals.  Despite what the cartoons tell you.

Edit: Folks an animal is classified by it's primary food habits.  The majority of food consumed by penguins in meat.  Incidental or indirect consumed is not a primary food.  You know, it is fine to have an opinion.  Would be great though if you had an educated opinion.  Or even better if you actually knew the facts.

  4. Omnivores

  5. i tink they are carnivores. dey eat animals. (tts common kwowledge).

dey eat algae directly. but i stil tink tt eating algae doesn't make dem omnivores...

  6. An omnivore is an animal that feeds on both plants and animals to survive.

Although the food web you have shows that penguins eat algae it is only an incidental part of their diet (eaten more by happenstance than design).

Penguins are classified as carnivores as their necessary diet is made up of krill, fish, and squid and not algae.

  7. They're carnivores. Herbivores can't survive in the arctic. If they eat any plankton, it's accidental or incidental.

  8. penguins eat small fish
