Are people being fined for downloading whole software programs, or is it just music pirates?

A song is 99 cents and programs can cost 1,000's of dollars yet I haven't heard of anyone going to court for it. It doesn't make sense to me. Have there been any cases involving music software, computer software, or even movies?

  4. People are fined for the illegal download of Movies and songs. people do pirate software apps as well but not to the extent that they pirate and share songs. Companies like Microsoft will chase you if you pirate multiple copies of Windows.
