  1. If you go to the National Geographics Genotype pages (just google that), you will know that there is not such thing as "half german" [or any other such group].

But, yes, there is quite a bit of Viking blood in Germans; English, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, and even in Easter Europe.

    See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viking

  2. The Vikings got as far as the Black Sea and raped anyone they didn't kill, unless the men of the village were stronger, faster, smarter, more numerous and better armed . If your ancestors lived within 30 miles of the coast or a major river, chances are good they have some Viking blood (sperm) in them.

  3. Some of the oldest German tribes were the Goths from Scandinavia so you could be some Viking.

But modern Germany and its peoples were the Prussians and the Bavarians, North and South, which themselves came from various ancient tribes from central Europe.

Since the Reunification there is now the Easts (Ossies) and the Wests (Westies) but that is more of an insult.

  4. No, the Vikings were from Norway and Denmark, the Norsemen. However the English or Angles and Saxons were from Germany. Many Germanic warriors joined up with the Roman armies that swept through Gaul (France) and went on to conquer England. These were tall, blonde, warlike people, many of whom settled in Britain and intermarried with the local Celts. This is why many English words come from German, e.g.

hand, Hand; bread, Brot; water, Wasser;sword, Schwerd and so on.
