Are people going to be the cause for the end of the world?

It depends on what you mean by "the end of the world".  

An apple has to rot for the seeds to grow.  Therefore, the end of one era is the beginning of the next.  

However, if you're talking about the end of humanity, then it's a toss up.  Adapt or die is the way of the world.

The planet will cease to be able to sustain life, but that wont happen for hundreds of thousands of years and by then we'll have found somewhere else to live...another planet or moon perhaps...

multiple volcanic eruptions covering the earth and shutting out sunlight and air will do the trick. cant see cant breathe your over.

It will be the sun becoming a dying star that will eventually end the world. The human race is an endangered species. The earth will last a lot longer than we will.
