  1. I'm a very friendly person ^_^

Of course it will be easy to surround yourself with nice people.

I go to the beach, go to the mall, Best Buy, theme parks, etc.

    Los Angeles/Orange County for sure.

California is a mix of everything! You'll see a lot of Mexicans in California (like me! ^_^)

  2. People are generally nice in my experience. California is very diverse, so you can generally find people that you "click" with.  Just be patient.

California as a whole may be majority white, especially in the rural areas, but the larger cities tend to be more Asian and Hispanic.

  3. lol south central.. NO!.

It depends where in california you're planing to move, it's a huge place you know. These are some great places to live in california, obviously the big cities, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, L.A. i would suggest West Los Angeles- Santa Monica, Venice, Culver City, Believe it or not certain parts of Beverly Hills, Marina Del Rey, San Marino, Burbank. Remember one thing if you don't want to move in where the snobs are at they skip orange county.

  4. People will be alot friendlier if you don't refer to California as "Cali".   Southern California has a huge population of Hispanics;  store signs are in Spanish and quite a few people don't speak English.  Many people your age in LA are self-centered and think they're going to be the next famous movie star ... People in Orance County are alot more family oriented.  .....  Consider moving to San Francisco

  5. No  we're all  wicked evil people  that will steal little kids chocolate chip cookies.

hate to say it ...  the best place on the coast  is the seattle area

  6. Well, California is a big state so it's hard to answer this question. You'll find some jerks in California, but the majority of us are friendly and very easy going.  What part of California will you be stuyding at?  I'm not too fond of LA and surrounding areas.

California is very multi-cultural, so you'll find people from every part of the world (especially in the big cities).

  7. No way! As an example, I've been blocked by all the LA category regulars. They can't even be friendly online.

  8. Beach !!!

Theyre different people which mean different attitudes

  9. Hey!

Well, it really depends on where  you move in Cali. There is a great variety of people here, s****., ghetto, wild liberal, super conservative, and everything inbetween. I live in southern california, and I am a senior at Cal State University. If you are open, and not quick to judge, sure you can make new friends. We may try to look tough, not to care about things, and use the word "like" WAY too much, but we are just plain ole people deep down. Be wise, pick your friends like fruit. For some reason, Ive noticed that some people think its cool to be materialistic, but just know...deep down, most of us are in debt and putting on some sort of front, looking for acceptance.

It also depends on where you are going to school...a campus that is well established, non "commuter" and has a lot of people living there make for a better community, and thus a better place to find friends like yourself.

What do we do for fun???  What dont we do for fun!!!?

Paragliding, Hangliding, Hiking, Bowling, Snorkeling, Surfing, Party, Trips, Off roading, water sports, Movies, Sports, Church Stuff.....you name it, we do it!

Best city..... any large to mid sized one (LA, San Diego, Beach Cities). I live in a smaller city, and its hard to meet people.

Ummm as for the white people, it depends on where you are, but there are a lot of asians, mexicans, blacks and middle eastern people too.....

  10. First, remember that Cali is a city in South America, not a US state.

Will it be easy to surround myself with a circle of new fun friends or are the guys and girls conceited and s****.?

People are people everywhere. Most people are great but there are just enough a**holes to be a pain sometimes. Don't confuse the movies with real life. You want super friendly people though, move to West Virginia. In LA, please do not confuse the people having very busy lives as being snobbish or aloof.

What do people do for fun in Cali?

Anything possible to do for fun in the world is available in California.

Best city in Cali for someone my age who wants to meet people??

    San Francisco or West Hollywood.

Are the majority white people in cali?

It depends if you consider Hispanic people as white or not.

  11. orange county--snobs? no!

you know, there are all kinds of people in california, so it's hard to say whether people here are friendly.

i know that near the beach, people like to go there and surf (duh).

you could go to a big city.

the majority of california is white (i'm sure there are many whites in almost any area of the states), but there are all races in metropolitan areas.

sorry, this may not be the best answer, but it is what i know.

  12. People are more friendly in the Mid-west.

  13. South Central LA is nice place.

  14. SAN DIEGO!!!

everyone goes to the beach, even when it's not summer anymore.

the gaslamp district in downtown is full of clubs and restaurants and shopping

    <3333

it's a big city, but not huge.

  15. Cali is a drug and gang city in Colombia and is not in California.  Please!  Nice people are all around, but you have to put in some effort, as everyone is very busy.  It hardly matters where you are, this is true everywhere.  There are also fun things to do everywhere, and you will find people to do what YOU consider fun, but again you have to seek them out and they will not just come to you.  So whether it's clubbing or choir practice, surfing or hanging out at the library, you'll find it.

Don't evaluate ANY of this by what you may have seen on TV.  Rather I suggest an exploratory trip to look at schools that offer your academic line of study.

As for racial mix, you can study the demographics.  One of the best attributes of the part of California I live in, Southern California, is that it is ethnically diverse.  If you are looking for white people, you will find them.  If you are looking for something else, you will find them, too.  Be of good cheer, and bring a car and your money.
