  3. Im staying, because I stayed for Rita, and it changed paths at the last minute,so unless they call for manditory evactaution, then I will leave.

Besides,it doesnt even look like it will hit us.

It might hit New Orleans, which is very ironic,to me,considering we just now got rid of all the Katrina evacues, and now their gonna come back...

  4. I'm wondering the same thing.

My G.F. is in the Houston region and I'm offering my home in Amarillo as a respite for her until the tide settles.

  5. I was here for Alicia and plan to stay for this one...the real problem will be flooding...but I am 2nd floor so as long as roof holds I am ok...not looking to 2 weeks of no power like we went thru after Alicia...Of course plans could change if it turned out it might be a direct hit and cat 5.

  6. Nope, they are not doing manditory evacuations....Stay put, no need to leave.

  7. I live in houston.

We are waiting until late Sunday or Monday to decide what to do. If you were here with Katrina and Rita you know that it could change it's course at anytime. And don't listen to everyone who might be saying to ignore the hype or that it's just going to be a big rain storm. They are stupid and have obviously never been through a big storm. I'm not saying you should def. evacuate, but be prepaired. Look at what happened with Katrina. They ignored the signs and now looked what happened.

If you were in Galvestone I would say It would be best if you left, but just wait and watch the weather channel. And if the storm does turn for us board.tape up your windows and put up all of your important items (or take them if you decide to evacuate.) Have a full tank of gas ready in your car and have batteries and flashlights. It better to be safe then Sorry.

It's a cat. 3 now and it's suppose to be a 4 by tonight. Just watch the signed and do what is best for your family.

    Good luck and be safe.

  8. I live in Northeast Houston and Im just waitin to see if the storms gonna get closer. Its true that if you were here when Rita came it was suppose to hit Houston directly but shifted at the very last minute. Just keep looking at the news.

  9. I live in North East Houston.

    Im still staying here...

They way it looks, its headed to New Orleans.
