  1. Yes.

You can look on the UK as being pretty much akin to the states.

Each of the 4 countries making up the UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) have their own regional governments (in a sense) but are, at the moment, presided over by the houses of parliament.

  2. You need a national insurance number to give to your employer but no one ever asks to see a visa or other documentation. You can freely travel to England , Scotland ,Wales and Ireland from any where in the uk.

  3. yes as far as i no...but dont take me 4 granted...i might be wrong.

  4. A British national can move anywhere throughout the UK to either live or work or both. If you are a none UK citizen then you need a work permit or a visa unless you are a diplomat

  8. The UK stands for the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Scotland,  Northern Ireland and Wales.  A citizen of any of these countries and also of the Republic of Ireland (due to a special treaty) can move freely between all these countries and may be employed in any of these countries.  Taxes are paid to Her Majesty's Customs & Revenue, except in the Republic of Ireland, where taxes are paid to the Irish Government.
