  1. In the USA, it depends on the state.  Read this article:

  2. 300,000 people in the US are shot every year.

The biggest war in history has been going on in America for decades

  3. In Virginia, as long as it is not concealed u can even carry to a bar, if the owner allows

  4. You can buy guns in supermarkets.

  5. Depends on which State , some allow you to carry concealed guns . others allow you to carry a gun on your person as in a belt holster. Others do not allow guns to be carried in public at all.

  6. I'm just glad the girl shot herself and not another person in the store.

This is the nightmare I have to live with in the US. There are guns everywhere and you just don't know if any idiot is going to use it, by accident or not, and you end up getting struck by a bullet.

Why do people need to carry their weapons outside their homes unless for hunting???

The US needs to do some serious growing up on this issue.

  7. I think the legalities of this vary by state.  Concealed weapons (which I believe a gun in a purse would fall under) require permits that are usually difficult to obtain.  However, I believe "open carry" (i.e. weapon on an exposed hip-holster) is gaining wider acceptance in various states that allow it.  I believe in California, open carry is only allowed for unloaded guns.

Also, I believe on private property, the owners may impose their own restrictions on firearms - so while open carry may be okay for walking down the street (if not odd), upon entering a store, the store has the right to request the gun be removed.

  8. I am from UK so don't know American law...the child did not die but is critical...the sheriff said that the Grandmother had a permit to carry a concealed weapon, so they must be allowed to carry them.....it is a fact in America that more people are accidentally killed with firearms, than criminals they are supposed to be being protected from....crazy country.

  9. In Nevada I can carry my revolver into all but the following:

    1. Church or other house of religious worship.

    2. School or school grounds.

    3. Government buildings.

    4. Airports.

    5. Banks.

    6. Ballparks.

Only one jurisdiction in Southern Nevada has an ordinance which prohibits what is called "open carry". That's North Las Vegas. In over 25 years of residency in the greater Las Vegas area I have only had to draw it from its holster on four occasions and never had to fire it at anyone. And I would never let it fall into the hands of a child.
