Yes Neem oil is very good for any type of bug control...  it is a powerful stuff. Used wisely it can be very effective. Though I have to warn you the smell leaves a great deal to be desired. But if it does the trick what the h**l.

i've heard of africans chewing on neem twigs to maintain beautiful white teeth but i havent heard of it being a bug control. i hang banana skins over my plants to deter aphids i think they hate the smell i also grew cornflowers among my veg plots they attracted hover flies which eat aphids. so far ive had a bug free summer and plants are thriving,hope this helps.
